Cyber Advisor

What is the Cyber Advisor Scheme?

The NCSC Cyber Advisor scheme is delivered in partnership with IASME. It provides small and medium sized businesses with reliable and cost effective cyber security advice and practical support.

The advice and support focuses on the implementation of the technical controls set out in Cyber Essentials, which can help protect businesses from the majority of common cyber attacks.

The aim of the scheme is to give businesses confidence that their chosen service provider is offering cyber security advice to an NCSC approved standard.

Cyber Advisors have passed an independent assessment to ensure they have the knowledge and skills required to work specifically with small and medium businesses.

Who is the Cyber Advisor Scheme for?

The NCSC Cyber Advisor scheme was developed to help smaller organisations find a trusted source of good cyber security advice and improve their basic cyber security. You may find it useful to get in touch with in2secure for cyber advice for a number of reasons including:

You cannot easily access qualified people to work with.

You lack in-house expertise to assist you.

You want a clearer picture of your organisation’s cyber security level.

You have limited time or funds to invest in your cyber security.

Why is the scheme based on Cyber Essentials controls?

The NCSC believes the Cyber Essentials technical controls mitigate most high volume, low-skill attacks perpetrated through the internet, including ransomware attacks. For this reason, one of the easiest ways to make the UK more secure is to help organisations to implement the technical controls at scale across the UK. You can read more about the Cyber Essentials scheme, and its 5 core controls here.

You dont need to gain Cyber Essentials certification (although it is great way of letting your customers know you take your cyber security seriously! ), you just need to implement the schemes technical controls.

As experienced Cyber Essentials accessors and Cyber Advisors in2secure can help you make the changes needed to protect your business from most cyber attacks.
